R&D Engineering, Staff Engineer

You are passionate about high-performance simulation solutions that enable our automotive and telecommunications customers to develop the embedded software for their next generation of self-driving cars, mobile devices, or virtual reality applications? You like to create robust, creative, and flexible software architectures? Developing high quality/performance software architectures and using modern design principles is motivating to you?

As a Staff Engineer for our fast-growing team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our Virtual ECU simulation technologies used for testing the functionality of vehicle systems in a controlled and safe environment before deploying them in real vehicles. You will work closely together with the software architect to implement new automotive solutions in a highly competitive market.

In your new role you will:

• Work closely with the software architect
• Drive complex projects and take ownership for customer shipment
• Be in the driving seat for software development using software engineering principles
• Implement new Virtual ECU simulation technologies

You are best equipped for this position if you have:

• MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or similar
• Experience in a software development position
• Understanding of embedded operating systems, especially POSIX
• Good understanding of Linux, and POSIX kernel development on x86-64 / aarch64 architectures
• Very good English language skills

Preferred Experience

• Solid C/C++ coding skills
• Knowledge in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience with automotive simulation, especially software-in-the-loop
• Experience with automotive middleware, especially AUTOSAR Adaptive
• Good to excellent networking skills
