Technical Project Manager (Hardware & Software)
At SynSense, we are designing next-generation edge AI processors — ultra-low-power (µW to mW) for IoT, embedded, and mobile devices. We are also designing smart sensor modules, combining sensing and computation in tiny low-power packages.
We have an immediate opening for a Technical Project Manager to coordinate the timely, successful delivery of critical cross-disciplinary combined hardware/software engineering projects. The position reports directly to the Chief Technical Officer. The ideal candidate understands both hardware and software development from chips to AI software and has a proven track record in delivering complex engineering projects.
This position is for an open-ended full-time (100%) contract. You will be based in our Zürich office in Oerlikon. Occasional travel may be required to conferences or external partner meetings.
Your Responsibilities
- Tracking progress against milestones
- Developing and implementing best practices
- Stakeholder coordination including meetings across multiple departments: IC design, software, business development
- Reporting on project progress to top company management
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years experience in full-stack hardware-software project management involving chips, packaging, firmware, application software
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar background and experience
- Knowledge of full-cycle software development processes, as well as hardware design and production
- Excellent organization, leadership, initiative, and conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability to achieve goals under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate highly diverse groups and stakeholders
- Excellent spoken and written English; other languages are an advantage
Desired Qualifications and Experience (not required, but beneficial)
- Experience in translating customer needs into technical specifications (and vice versa)
- Customer-facing technical sales experience
- Product management skills and/or experience
