Investment Banking Research Analyst (Remote | $175–$300/hr)

pThis opportunity is for experienced investment banking professionals to support a customer project focused on improving financial data analysis, financial modeling, and industry research. The role involves applying practical investment banking expertise to financial analysis, transaction insights, and expert evaluation. Prior AI experience is not required. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liConduct company and industry research to support financial analysis. /li liPerform buyer and target screening, comparable company analysis, and financial modeling. /li liBuild, update, and troubleshoot Excel-based valuation and transaction models. /li liEnsure models are accurate, logically consistent, and well-structured. /li liPrepare and review pitchbooks and client-facing transaction materials. /li liAnalyze transaction scenarios and communicate strategic rationale and key deal considerations. /li liReview financial analyses and presentations for numerical errors, weak assumptions, and unclear reasoning. /li liProvide actionable feedback to improve analytical accuracy and quality. /li liExplain accounting treatments, valuation adjustments, deal sensitivities, and financial assumptions. /li liCommunicate complex financial concepts clearly to different audiences. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liStrong professional experience in investment banking, MA, industry coverage, or financial advisory. /li liSubstantial hands-on experience with acquisition or sale processes. /li liAdvanced proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling. /li liStrong understanding of valuation methodologies, comparable company analysis, and transaction analysis. /li liExperience in company research, industry research, and target screening. /li liExperience preparing and reviewing pitchbooks and transaction materials. /li liStrong analytical, problem-solving, and review skills. /li liAbility to identify numerical inaccuracies, weak assumptions, and strategic weaknesses. /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience as a Senior Associate or Vice President in an MA or industry-coverage team. /li liBackground at a leading investment bank, established MA boutique, or sector-focused advisory firm. /li liThird-year Senior Associate experience is particularly relevant. /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
