Principal Consultant Databricks Architect / Engineer (m/f/d)

Qualifications and Experience

1. >6 years of experience in Platform / Data Engineering & consultancy
2. Excellent knowledge of Databricks, with hands-on experience
3. Experience managing projects and implementing Cloud/Data Engineering projects
4. Strong programming skills (e.g., Java, Python, Spark; object-oriented); additional languages are a plus
5. Technical expertise in emerging data technologies, especially Databricks
6. Best practices in designing and setting up data platforms via Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including security requirements
7. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Information Management, or a related field
8. Databricks certifications (e.g., Associate, Professional) or proven project delivery experience
9. Willingness to travel up to 30%
10. Fluent in German and English (speaking & writing)
11. Excellent presentation and communication skills
12. Ability to land and expand client relationships
13. Coaching and mentoring capabilities
14. Leadership roles in data-driven IT projects (e.g., IT-Architect, Tech Lead, Principal Consultant), including project management and customer relationship building
15. Experience in sales activities, opportunity identification, and risk management
16. Strong communication and persuasion skills for engaging clients
17. Collaboration with tech partners and growing Databricks partnership
18. Analytical thinking for process optimization
19. Mentoring practice members and driving Databricks cluster success
20. Participation in synvert group initiatives related to Databricks
