Introduction to the Position

We are working with a leading German-speaking company looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team. This position will involve managing day-to-day accounting operations for a variety of entities, including the use of Workday Financials. You will be a key player in maintaining smooth financial processes and ensuring accuracy in accounting records. If you have experience in day-to-day accounting and a strong understanding of financial operations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! This is a fully remote position. The head office is in Berlin.

Your Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day accounting tasks for multiple entities
2. Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
3. Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in compliance with regulations
4. Assist in preparing tax returns and other required filings
5. Support month-end and year-end closing activities
6. Maintain accuracy in accounting records and financial transactions
7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations
8. Assist with Workday Financials-related tasks and system enhancements

Desired Qualifications

1. Experience in accounting with a strong focus on day-to-day accounting tasks
2. Proficiency in German (Fluent, both written and spoken)
3. Hands-on experience with Workday Financials or similar ERP systems
4. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and regulations
5. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
