Transfer Pricing & Tax Planning Tax Manager (Travel to Mannheim Required)
Introduction to the Position
The Transfer Pricing & Tax Planning Tax Manager is a strategic and hands‑on role responsible for managing the company’s transfer pricing framework and supporting international tax planning initiatives. You will ensure that intercompany transactions comply with OECD and EU regulations, advise subsidiaries on transfer pricing matters, and review new business models to align with tax policies.
The role also involves preparing audit documentation, leading dispute resolution processes, and contributing to the development of business tax strategies that optimize global operations.
In addition, the Tax Manager will monitor regulatory developments, implement relevant changes, and work closely with external advisors and internal stakeholders to build scalable and compliant tax processes. This position is ideal for a proactive, technically strong tax professional with experience in both advisory and in‑house tax functions, preferably in a fast‑growing global scale‑up or corporate environment.
Reporting directly to the Director of Tax, the role is hands‑on, involves collaboration across subsidiaries, and plays a key role in establishing a robust global tax function.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies and documentation
- Advise subsidiaries on transfer pricing matters and intercompany transactions
- Prepare audit files and support transfer pricing audits and dispute resolution processes
- Review new business models for compliance with transfer pricing policies
- Support international tax planning and contribute to strategic tax initiatives
- Monitor and implement changes in OECD and EU transfer pricing regulations
- Collaborate closely with external advisors and internal stakeholders
- Help build scalable, compliant global tax processes
Desired Qualifications
- Completed degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a comparable qualification
- 8+ years of experience in transfer pricing and tax planning, including advisory and in‑house roles
- Strong knowledge of OECD and EU transfer pricing rules
- Experience with ERP systems and tax technology tools (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, DATEV)
- Proven track record managing audits, dispute resolution, and strategic tax planning
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent in German (C1 or above) and English (B2 or above)
- Comfortable working in a fast‑growing global scale‑up or corporate environment
