Position: Senior Accountant (m/f/d)
Location: Cuxhaven, Germany
Responsibilities
- Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS; support consolidation pack preparation.
- Ensure proper execution of operational accounting for accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory, and general ledger in compliance with laws and guidelines.
- Execute closing entries, provisions, accruals, income entries, taxes, credit limit monitoring, and payment transaction control.
- Act as interface and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including headquarters, company directors, and local management.
- Coaching: develop team colleagues on accounting topics and share best practices.
- Collaborate with auditors, tax auditors, tax advisors, and authorities.
- Lead process optimization projects, digitization, and further development of work‑flows.
Qualifications
- University degree majoring in accounting.
- Several years of experience in a comparable position within an international corporation.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with SAP R/3 (FI/CO/AA); knowledge of S/4 HANA desirable.
- Good command of English.
- Analytical thinking and strong numerical skills.
