Our client is looking for an experienced System Admin/Engineer to support the operation, modernisation, and stability of a business critical IT infrastructure. You will be part of a well established internal IT team responsible for ensuring high availability of servers and services, handling incidents end to end, and continuously improving operational processes. After a structured onboarding phase, you will work independently with a high level of responsibility and ownership. This role is hands on and operations focused, ideal for someone who enjoys running and improving production environments rather than working purely on cloud or architecture topics.
Your responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and modernize Linux server environments
- Monitor availability of servers, services, and automated data processing
- Handle incidents and problems independently (analysis, resolution, follow-up)
- Maintain and further develop script-based automation and data processing workflows
- Support internal users and specialist departments in day-to-day operations
- Collaborate closely with an experienced internal IT team
- Create and continuously improve system and process documentation
Required experience
- Experience with Linux (Debian, Red Hat / CentOS)
- Experience with WindowsScript development using Bash OR Python
Your background
- Several years of professional experience
- Fluent German language
