This is a newly created position at the intersection of AI, research, IT, governance, and institutional strategy.
You will not manage a team, but you will play a central role in driving AI adoption, coordination and responsible use across a complex, interdisciplinary environment.
Your Mission
Support organisational units in adopting and operationalising AI
Drive change management initiatives related to AI usage
Develop and maintain a structured AI governance framework (policies, standards, roles & responsibilities)
Act as an interface between AI operations, research teams, IT, legal and compliance
Report to senior leadership on AI-related activities and developments
Build collaboration with universities, research institutes and industry partners
Promote responsible AI usage through awareness campaigns and community initiatives
Establish and maintain a central AI knowledge hub (intranet, newsletter, collaboration channels)
Monitor AI trends relevant to scientific and institutional priorities
Support AI-related projects through coordination and structured oversight
Your Profile
Experience driving AI-related initiatives, digital transformation or governance frameworks
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical groups
Familiarity with IT governance, compliance or regulatory frameworks
Ability to operate independently and influence without formal authority
Masters or PhD in natural sciences, computational science, AI, or related field
Fluent English + German B2 or above
