You will work across all three, developing physical demonstrators and experimental systems used to explore new technologies and future product possibilities. /ppYou could be designing a component in CAD one day, integrating electronics and writing embedded code the next, before taking the complete system into the lab for testing. /ph3Your role /h3pYou will take ownership of practical engineering projects from initial idea through to a working demonstrator. /ppYour work will include: /pulliDesigning and building belectromechanical prototypes and experimental systems /b /liliIntegrating electronic components, microcontrollers and mechanical assemblies /liliDeveloping and adapting bembedded software / firmware /b for prototype applications /liliCreating mechanical parts and assemblies using b3D CAD /b /liliUsing b3D printing and other rapid-manufacturing techniques /b to produce prototype components /liliSelecting and integrating suitable components, interfaces and technologies /liliAssembling, debugging and testing complete systems in the laboratory /liliRunning experiments to understand technical feasibility and performance /liliRapidly modifying designs based on test results and engineering feedback /liliWorking alongside specialists from different technical disciplines to solve complex development challenges /li /ulh3What we are looking for /h3pWe're particularly interested in engineers with a broad technical foundation rather than specialists who want to remain within one narrow discipline. /ppYou should ideally bring: /ppDegree in bMechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering /b or a comparable technical disciplinebr/Practical electronics development experiencebr/Exposure to bmicrocontrollers / embedded software / firmware /bbr/Mechanical design and b3D CAD /b experiencebr/Experience with b3D printing or rapid prototyping /bbr/Confidence building and troubleshooting physical systemsbr/Strong practical engineering and problem-solving abilitybr/Curiosity and willingness to learn technologies outside your core specialism /ppYou don't need to be an expert in every area.
