Senior Rust Software Engineer

ph3What is this role about? /h3 pIn simple terms, you will be building and improving bbackend software in Rust /b for complex, business-critical systems. /p pYou will work on systems that need to be bstable, secure and able to handle a lot of activity /b, so this is not a basic application development role. You will be involved in designing the software, writing the code, testing it properly and helping decide how the overall system should be built. /p pThe role is a good fit for someone who enjoys btechnical problem-solving, backend development, distributed systems and writing high-quality Rust code /b. /p pYou will work closely with other experienced engineers and technical stakeholders, so strong communication skills are important. /p pbFluent German is a firm requirement for this position. /b /p pUnfortunately, candidates without strong German language skills cannot be considered for this role. /p h3What you will be doing /h3 ul liDesign, develop and maintain software applications using bRust /b /li liWork on complex backend and distributed systems /li liBuild reliable, scalable and maintainable software solutions /li liContribute to software architecture and technical design decisions /li liWrite clean, well-tested and production-ready code /li liWork with modern development, testing and deployment practices /li liCollaborate closely with engineers, architects and other technical stakeholders /li liSupport continuous improvements across software development processes /li /ul h3What we are looking for /h3 ul liAt least 5 years of professional software development experience /li liAt least 2 years of hands-on commercial Rust experience /li liStrong understanding of core Rust concepts, including:ul liOwnership /li liBorrowing /li liLifetimes /li liAsync/Await /li /ul /li liExperience with Rust libraries or frameworks such as Tokio, Serde, Actix, or similar /li liExperience working with distributed or event-driven systems /li liGood understanding of software architecture and design principles /li liExperience with automated testing and modern software engineering practices /li liExperience with technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes /li liComfortable working within Agile development environments /li liExperience working on complex or business-critical systems /li /ul h3Language requirements /h3 ul liGerman: Strong professional fluency is mandatory /li liEnglish: Strong professional fluency /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 pExperience in any of the following would be advantageous: /p ul liFinancial services or regulated environments /li liLarge-scale enterprise software /li liCloud environments /li liCI/CD pipelines /li liLinux environments /li liDistributed systems /li liMicroservices /li liSAFe or similar scaled Agile environments /li /ul h3The ideal profile /h3 pYou are an experienced software engineer who enjoys solving technically challenging problems rather than simply building standard applications. /p pYou have genuine hands-on Rust experience, understand how Rust works beyond basic syntax, and are comfortable discussing topics such as ownership, memory safety, concurrency and asynchronous programming. /p pYou are also comfortable working in an environment where software quality, reliability and maintainability are important. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
