We are supporting an established Swiss high-tech organisation in the search for a Technical R&D Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary product development projects within its HVAC technology portfolio. This is an opportunity to work in a highly innovative engineering environment, developing advanced sensing and measurement technologies for HVAC and building applications, while taking genuine ownership of projects from concept through to market introduction. The Role You will lead technically complex R&D projects involving specialists from multiple engineering and business disciplines. Your responsibilities will include: Leading development programmes from concept and feasibility through development, industrialisation and launch Taking responsibility for project delivery, budget, technical risk and quality Coordinating multidisciplinary specialists across R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality and commercial functions Translating HVAC application and customer requirements into clear development priorities Supporting key technical and strategic decisions throughout the product development lifecycle Identifying project and technical risks early and driving appropriate mitigation measures Creating alignment between engineering teams, business stakeholders and customer requirements Establishing clear priorities and ensuring projects progress effectively against agreed objectives Your Background We are particularly interested in candidates who combine a strong technical foundation with experience leading R&D or product development projects. Ideally, you will bring: A degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Sciences or another relevant technical discipline Professional experience within HVAC, building technology, building automation, ventilation, indoor air quality or related technologies Experience within R&D, engineering and physical product development Experience taking technical products from development towards industrialisation and series production Proven responsibility for complex technical projects involving multiple engineering disciplines A good understanding of the interaction between R&D, manufacturing/operations, quality and commercial teams The technical credibility to work effectively with specialist engineers while maintaining responsibility for the overall project Strong stakeholder management and communication skills German language skills are highly desirable, alongside strong English communication skills Experience with sensors, measurement technology, controls, electronics, mechatronics or other sophisticated HVAC-related products would be particularly attractive.
