Location : Graz, Austria – Relocation Required
Travel : international, approximately 1 week per month
ASAP Start
We are supporting a leading international warehouse automation and intralogistics organisation with the expansion of its Software Project Management team.
Due to a significant order book, large-scale projects and a restructuring of the project organisation, they are looking to hire experienced IT/Software Project Managers.
The Role As an IT/Software Project Manager, you will take ownership of 1–4 small to medium-sized projects, forming part of wider automation programmes valued between approximately €5m and €200m.
You will coordinate software delivery across multidisciplinary project teams, working closely with software, engineering, commissioning and customer stakeholders from project initiation through implementation and handover.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing software-focused projects within warehouse automation/intralogistics environments
Owning project schedules, milestones, risks and deliverables
Coordinating internal technical teams and external stakeholders
Managing customer communication throughout project delivery
Supporting software integration, testing, commissioning and go-live activities
Identifying and resolving project risks and escalations
Managing multiple concurrent projects where required
Ensuring projects are delivered against agreed scope, timeline and quality expectations
What We’re Looking For We are primarily looking for established Project Managers, rather than Project Coordinators looking for their first PM position.
Experience within warehouse automation, intralogistics, material handling, WMS/WCS/WES or a closely related automation environment would be particularly valuable.
You should have:
Previous experience managing technical, software or automation projects
Strong stakeholder and customer management skills
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams
Understanding of software implementation/integration projects
Experience managing project schedules, risks, scope and deliverables
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to relocate to Graz, Austria
Ability to travel internationally approximately one week per month
EU nationality/right to work and travel freely within Europe strongly preferred
Relocation Relocation to Graz is a requirement for this position.
Relocation support will be considered on a case-by-case basis, with support potentially including flights and accommodation for the initial training period.
Package Final salary will depend on experience and suitability, with the upper end reserved for particularly strong profiles.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking to join a growing international automation environment with significant project exposure and longer-term progression opportunities.
