The Primary Purpose

The Field Visual Merchandiser will be the key liaison and trainer for Tapestry Global Visual Merchandising standards and be the resource for our retail, outlet & Wholesale locations. The Field VM will partner with Global VM, Regional VM and Retail, Outlet & Wholesale management to ensure the store is always merchandised in line with VM Guidelines and correct standards. The position reports to the Senior Field Visual Merchandising Manager.

Responsibilities

Partnership

  • Collaborate with Global VM, Regional VM and In-Store VM to support all VM workflows.
  • Build relationships through training and sharing knowledge and skill sets/techniques.
  • Generate new ideas while maintaining a collaborative and flexible mindset.

Training

  • Train and develop In-Store VM to understand the store environment, customer flow, and product flow of the shop floor.
  • Training on all VM trends for the season.
  • Manage sell through while maintaining best in class VM presentations.
  • Be mindful of Global VM directives when supporting business objectives.
  • Communicate all seasonal VM Guideline messages and key ideas.
  • Communicate the monthly flow ideas and how they translate for the region.
  • Communicate styling and composition techniques to region when adapting VM Guidelines to architecture and assortment.

Organization & Time Management

  • Plan all workflows in advance to ensure smooth and successful VM execution in region.
  • React quickly with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ensure workflows in region are executed in clear and transparent timelines.
  • Work autonomously or in teams as needed to achieve the best results.
  • Execute the Store Visit Checklist and VM Audit in region.

Communication

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to interface with a diverse group.
  • Champion the Global VM Guideline: stay up to date on all VM initiatives and merchandising trends and techniques.
  • Cascade seasonal messages down to all levels in the region.
  • Ensure guidelines are understood and put into action across all stores where applicable.
