In this position, you will play a central role within the test and instrumentation team, working across multiple engineering groups to manage the selection, integration, and qualification of sensor systems. You will act as the primary point of contact for all instrumentation activities, helping define procedures, coordinating technical interfaces, guiding component choices, and overseeing testing before and after integration. The role involves a mix of hands‑on assembly, analytical evaluation, and system‑level ownership to ensure all instrumentation is accurate, reliable, and aligned with project requirements.


Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the main technical owner for all instrumentation across the project.
  • Support engineering teams in identifying, selecting, and qualifying sensor technologies.
  • Establish and maintain standards for instrumentation design and usage.
  • Provide alternative component options and assist teams during technical decision‑making.
  • Conduct hands‑on assembly, calibration, and testing of instrumentation hardware.
  • Maintain and update the project’s instrumentation lists and configuration files.
  • Coordinate with design teams to ensure all changes and updates are captured accurately.
  • Lead instrumentation reviews and implement improvements to existing systems.
  • Perform environmental and functional qualification of selected sensors.
  • Support the integration of sensors into test and data acquisition systems.

What you need

  • BSc in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or related degree.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong practical experience with assembling and calibrating sensor systems.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and thermal system characterisation.
  • Experience working with a broad range of sensor types.
  • Strong knowledge of selecting and applying pressure transducers.
  • Experience working with data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to perform error analysis and evaluate measurement chain performance.
  • Organised, methodical, and detail‑focused working style.
  • Basic programming knowledge (Python, C++, or similar).
