About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cyber Security Test Engineer (d/w/m) to join our dynamic Engineering Team within Airbus Cyber Programmes. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing security tests to identify vulnerabilities within IT, operational technology (OT), and artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Your expertise will contribute to strengthening the security posture of our products and services, ensuring they meet rigorous safety and security standards. The position offers flexibility, including options for reduced weekly hours and tailored responsibilities, catering to diverse work‑life balance needs. Based in Manching, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement security best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement in cybersecurity measures.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or similar are highly desirable, demonstrating your proficiency in ethical hacking and vulnerability assessment. Candidates should have solid experience with security testing tools like Nmap, Nessus, and Burp Suite, as well as test management platforms such as JIRA. A thorough understanding of current cyber threats, attack vectors, and security risks in interconnected environments—including IT, OT, and AI systems is essential. Proven experience in vulnerability assessments, security testing, and risk mitigation strategies is required. Excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and strong communication skills in both German and English are vital for success in this role. We value team players who are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate security analyses such as vulnerability assessments on IT, OT, and AI systems to identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct comprehensive software testing, including functional, regression, integration, and security‑specific tests, to ensure high software quality and security standards.
  • Assist in defining and implementing security requirements and standards, integrating security considerations early in the development lifecycle (Security by Design).
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops on cybersecurity topics and software testing methodologies to enhance team awareness and expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop security protocols, respond to security incidents, and continuously improve security measures across projects.
  • Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices to proactively address potential security challenges.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary packages complemented by personalized benefits such as corporate pension schemes, mobility options including bike leasing, and employee discounts.
  • Generous leave policies with 30 days of annual vacation, along with flexible work arrangements like flexible hours, remote working, part‑time options, and sabbaticals to support work‑life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional growth through advanced training programs, certifications, and international career development pathways.
  • Access to comprehensive health and wellness programs, including on‑site medical services, fitness classes, preventive health initiatives, and on‑site childcare facilities at certain locations.
  • Engagement in a diverse and inclusive work environment, welcoming over 140 nationalities, fostering collaboration, cultural exchange, and mutual support among colleagues.
