About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Software Engineer (m/w/d) with a focus on Financial Accounting (FI) to join our IT team at our Hagen location. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing SAP solutions that support our core financial processes and contribute to the company's digital transformation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design innovative SAP applications, ensure seamless integration with other systems, and support the migration to SAP S/4HANA. Your expertise will help enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our SAP environment, directly impacting our ability to deliver excellent service to our customers and streamline internal operations. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a relevant university degree or vocational qualification in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Extensive professional experience in SAP environment, particularly in object-oriented ABAP development, is essential. Proven expertise in SAP modules such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, SAP BW, and SAP HANA is required. Practical knowledge of SAP system customization, maintenance, and optimization is vital, along with experience in integrating SAP with other enterprise systems via web services, REST APIs, and other interfaces. Candidates should demonstrate a positive mindset, analytical thinking, and a structured approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication skills, team orientation, and enthusiasm for emerging technologies are also important. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA transformation projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance SAP IT services, creating applications with modern technologies such as SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, OData-Services, and SAP HANA, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Maintain and improve existing SAP systems by performing regular updates, optimizations, and troubleshooting to maximize system performance and functionality.
• Design and implement seamless integration of SAP solutions with other enterprise systems, ensuring data consistency and operational efficiency.
• Develop, test, and deploy web services, including REST APIs, to facilitate communication between SAP and external applications within and outside the Thalia ecosystem.
• Participate in the SAP S/4HANA transformation project, contributing technical expertise to migrate and adapt FI systems to the new platform.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
• Support and troubleshoot SAP FI modules, providing technical guidance and ensuring system stability and compliance with corporate standards.
