About The Role

We are seeking a skilled .NET / WPF Software Developer to join our development team in Innsbruck. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our desktop application, a sophisticated WPF‑based solution built on the .NET framework. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the application’s functionality, refactoring legacy code, and ensuring the robustness of our software through testing and documentation. As part of our team, you will work closely with project managers, partners, and clients to deliver high‑quality features that meet user needs. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for programming and a strong foundation in software development. You should enjoy crafting clear, maintainable code and understand that elegant solutions often require multiple iterations. Open communication and teamwork are essential, as collaboration is a core part of our development process. Candidates should possess a completed education or degree, preferably with a technical or analytical focus such as Computer Science, HTL, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. You should have either several years of professional experience with C# and .NET, ideally with WPF, or demonstrable programming experience from personal projects or other technical environments. Fluency in German (spoken and written, C1/C2 level) is required, as all technical documentation and communication are conducted in German. Proficiency in English is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include the ongoing development and enhancement of our WPF desktop application using C# and .NET, covering everything from data models and backend logic to user interface design with XAML and MVVM architecture. You will refactor existing legacy code to improve performance and maintainability, and implement unit and integration tests to ensure software quality. Developing auxiliary tools to support the main application and creating comprehensive technical documentation and user help materials will also be part of your duties. As your familiarity with the product grows, you will provide support and engage directly with partners and customers, addressing their needs and incorporating feedback into future development cycles. Your work will contribute significantly to the stability, usability, and evolution of our risk management software.
