About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Project and Bid Manager (d/m/w) to join our dynamic team at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing complex project bids and overseeing the execution of cybersecurity projects within our expanding Cyber Programmes division. This position is integral to our efforts in delivering secure, reliable, and innovative solutions for aerospace and defense applications. The successful candidate will coordinate cross‑functional teams, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the growth of our cybersecurity offerings. Based at our Immenstaad location, you will work closely with experts across satellite technology, military aviation, artificial intelligence, and secure cloud architectures, contributing to the development of next‑generation defense and space systems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience in managing high‑complexity offers and projects is essential, along with a strong background in IT security. Certifications such as APMP Practitioner, PMI, ITIL Foundation or Practitioner, CISSP, CISA, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, or CNDA are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities, effective communication skills in both German and English, and the capacity to lead cross‑departmental teams. Willingness to travel as needed and a comprehensive understanding of standards like ISO 27k are also required. A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to navigate uncertainties and tight deadlines is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the efficient organization and management of cybersecurity project bids and ongoing projects. This includes resource allocation, prioritisation, and leveraging synergies across related initiatives. Your role involves ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards, even in demanding environments. You will oversee the content development of projects, particularly in defense, IT security, and aerospace safety, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. Change management, risk and opportunity management, and stakeholder engagement are key components of your duties. Additionally, you will coordinate project administration activities, support sales and bid processes, and develop accurate project timelines and resource plans. Leading and managing bid teams, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and preparing cost calculations are vital tasks. You will also contribute to defining and executing winning strategies, negotiating contracts, and supporting the acquisition of follow‑up projects and upselling activities.
