Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Project Engineer to be based at our office/ our customer’s site in Augsburg Role Overview The Project Engineer will support industrial automation and digital continuity initiatives within an aerospace manufacturing environment in Augsburg.
This role blends IT, automation, and aerospace production knowledge, ensuring robust tool backup processes, system reliability, and alignment with industrial standards.
Key
Responsibilities: Lead and support engineering projects related to Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS) within aerospace production.
Manage and optimise Octoplant‑based backup, versioning, and configuration processes for industrial tools and machines.
Ensure robust tool and data backup processes across production systems.
Collaborate with manufacturing, IT, and automation teams to maintain system integrity and operational continuity.
Analyse and improve processes related to aerospace manufacturing machines, tools, and digital infrastructure.
Provide technical support and project coordination across cross‑functional teams.
Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, industrial safety, and cybersecurity requirements.
Communicate effectively with German‑speaking stakeholders at all organisational levels.
