Job Purpose:
To support the Category/Business manager in all aspects of vendor operational management to ensure best-in-class data integrity, system tools, and reporting. Take ownership of parts of the product portfolio. Establish know-the-vendor processes and relationships with the category and operational team.
Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end product and vendor lifecycle management, ensuring system accuracy, product adoption, and creation.
- Support the vendor pricing strategy through collaboration with the profit team around exception and corrective management.
- Manage the ship and debit process in conjunction with the central team in Barcelona.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team on provision management and stock allocation.
- Work with Business Intelligence to produce sales out and stock reports and determine appropriate execution plans based on the findings.
- Achieve quarterly Gross Profit (GP) targets in absolute and percentage terms.
- Maintain operational relationships with vendor peers to discuss future products, forecasting, and planning processes.
- Contribute to and execute the business plan in conjunction with the vendor business lead(s).
- Support the sales team with pricing, ship and debit processes, and general product queries.
- Participate in vendor-related events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Good communication skills within a team and cross-functional collaboration.
- Advanced data handling skills, e.g., MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Customer focus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of product and technology portfolios.
- IT industry knowledge – Channel, Vendors, Programmes, and Competition (advantage).
- Experience with SAP R3 and Business Warehouse (advantage).
- Commercial/product experience in a technology business (preferable).
- Degree in a business-related subject (desirable).
- Excellent communication skills in German and English.
