In this critical technical role, you will be responsible for executing end-to-end radio access network (RAN) integration, site commissioning, and performance verification across major mobile infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with leading telecommunications operators such as Vodafone, Telefónica Germany, and Deutsche Telekom, working on-site alongside tier-one equipment vendors like Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei. Detailed Job Description

As a RAN Integration Engineer, you will take full ownership of configuring, integrating, and testing base station subsystems and radio network controllers on client sites throughout Germany. Your day-to-day responsibilities include executing site integration scripts, managing software upgrades, troubleshooting network synchronization issues, and validating radio frequency (RF) parameter configurations. You will interface directly with project managers, field operations teams, and client engineering leads to ensure seamless cell site activation and adherence to rigorous telecom quality standards. Furthermore, you will perform technical audits, resolve integration bottlenecks, and document configuration logs to support high-availability mobile network rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end RAN integration, site commissioning, and node integration for 4G LTE and 5G New Radio infrastructures.
• Collaborate with tier-one vendors including Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei to deploy and configure base station hardware.
• Perform software upgrades, parameter configuration, and integration script execution across multi-vendor radio access networks.
• Work on-site at client locations across Germany to support major mobile network operators such as Vodafone, Telefónica, and Deutsche Telekom.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and resolve connectivity or synchronization bottlenecks swiftly.
• Verify site alarm status, perform post-integration testing, and ensure optimal radio performance prior to network handover.
• Coordinate seamlessly with field deployment teams, network planners, and project stakeholders to maintain project timelines.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of site configurations, integration checklists, and operational logs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of professional telecommunications engineering experience specializing in RAN planning, deployment, or integration.
• Hands-on working experience as a RAN or RIC integration engineer for or alongside major equipment vendors like Ericsson, Nokia, or Huawei.
• Fully eligible to work in Germany with valid residency or work authorization permits.
• Willingness and flexibility to work on client sites across various locations in Germany.
• Strong technical proficiency in mobile network architectures, cellular protocols, and base station configuration workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail during high-pressure site deployments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multicultural engineering and client teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Advanced certifications from Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, or Cisco (e.g., CCNA, vendor-specific RAN deployment certifications).
• Prior direct experience working on network rollouts for Vodafone Germany, Telefónica Germany, or Deutsche Telekom.
• Familiarity with Open RAN (O-RAN) architectures, cloud-native RAN concepts, and automated integration scripting tools (Python, Bash).
• Fluency in German in addition to professional English communication skills.
• Experience handling multi-technology swaps and legacy network modernizations.
