Job Description:

Please note: Candidates currently holding a G permit and residing near the Geneva border will be considered only if they are willing to relocate to Geneva and must apply for a B permit.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Temenos T24 IRIS Developer to join a major banking client’s core-banking technology team in Zürich. The successful candidate will design, develop, enhance, and support Temenos T24 IRIS solutions, working closely with business, architecture, integration, reporting, and production-support stakeholders.

This is a senior, hands-on role requiring strong Temenos Transact/T24 development expertise, IRIS capability, banking-domain knowledge, and the ability to operate effectively in a controlled, high-availability financial-services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, test, and deploy Temenos T24 IRIS solutions in line with business and technical requirements
• Develop and maintain T24 components using jBASE/InfoBasic, including routines, enquiries, versions, templates, and interfaces
• Analyse and enhance IRIS reporting, data extraction, workflow, integration, or operational capabilities, depending on the client’s T24 landscape
• Work with T24 core-banking modules and associated data models to deliver robust, scalable solutions
• Develop and support batch processes, COB routines, OFS/OFSML integrations, and T24 service components where required
• Integrate T24 with upstream and downstream banking applications, enterprise data platforms, APIs, and third-party systems
• Perform impact assessments, root-cause analysis, defect resolution, and production support for complex T24/IRIS issues
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and adherence to development standards
• Prepare technical specifications, solution-design documents, deployment plans, and operational runbooks
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and Temenos functional SMEs
• Support release planning, environment management, migration activities, and post-implementation stabilisation
• Contribute to T24 platform modernisation, performance optimisation, automation, and improved DevOps practices
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across the Temenos development team

Required experience and skills

• 7+ years of hands-on Temenos T24 / Temenos Transact technical development experience
• Strong proven experience with T24 IRIS
• Advanced development skills in jBASE/InfoBasic
• Strong knowledge of T24 technical architecture, including core tables, routines, enquiries, versions, applications, and authorisation concepts
• Experience with T24 integration technologies, such as:
• OFS / OFSML
• T24 services and APIs
• REST and SOAP web services
• Messaging or middleware platforms
• File-based and batch integrations
• Experience supporting T24 batch processing, COB operations, performance tuning, and production incident resolution
• Strong SQL and relational database experience; Oracle experience is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, shell scripting, version-control tools, and deployment processes
• Experience working across development, SIT, UAT, pre-production, and production environments
• Ability to translate functional banking requirements into detailed T24 technical designs and implementable development tasks
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken

Candidates should have practical experience in one or more banking areas, such as:

• Retail, private, or corporate banking
• Payments, cash management, and transaction processing
• Loans, deposits, accounts, and customer information
• Securities, treasury, trade finance, or wealth management
• Regulatory reporting, risk, compliance, AML, or financial crime controls
• Core-banking migration, upgrade, consolidation, or transformation programmes

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Temenos Transact upgrades, migration projects, or T24 version remediation
• Knowledge of Temenos products adjacent to T24, such as TAFC, TAFJ, Data Hub, Financial Crime Mitigation, or Temenos integration tooling
• Experience with Java, Java EE, Spring Boot, or API-led integration architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and automated testing approaches
• Experience in agile delivery environments, including Scrum or SAFe
