Autonomous research in the field of theoretical particle physics and/or quantum gravity using numerical methods (e.g. lattice gauge theory, dynamical triangulation, event generators) Participate in existing research projects and develop new research proposals Active participation in the Research Career Campus Consortium "Theoretical Particle Physics" as well as a PI in the FWF doc.fund "Conceptual Aspects of Composite States" Contribute to acquisition of third‑party funds Participation in large‑scale applications in both education and research Independent supervision of Bachelor’s, Master’s and, where applicable, doctoral theses Student support and supervision Cooperation on organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures Profile
Completed doctorate/PhD in the area of theoretical physics Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English Very good IT skills in the field of software development Research activities in the area of either theoretical particle physics and/or quantum gravity Knowledge in numerical methods (e.g. lattice gauge theory, dynamical triangulation or event generators) preferred Documented (co)supervision of PhD students Enjoys scientific work and dealing with students Sense of personal responsibility and ability to work with others Able to work in international and interdisciplinary teams Application Documents
