Technicon is seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientedCAS Modeler (m/f/d)to support the digital modelling team of a leading global automotive OEM in Munich. In this role, you will work closely with designers and engineers to translate creative concepts into high-quality digital surfaces for advanced design and production development.*Your Responsibilities*Create precise and aesthetically refined Class-A and concept surfaces using industry-standard CAS tools.Translate design sketches and clay models into accurate digital 3D models.Collaborate closely with exterior and interior designers to capture design intent and realise sculptural qualities.Develop digital models throughout various project phases — from early concept surfaces to late-phase refinements.Ensure surfaces meet both creative expectations and technical feasibility requirements.Integrate engineering feedback and adjust surfacing solutions to support package constraints, aerodynamics, and manufacturability.Work with cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, Clay Modelling, and Visualization.Prepare digital data for design reviews, VR presentations, and downstream modelling teams.Contribute to surface optimisation and maintain consistency across the full vehicle program.Support multiple projects simultaneously while managing workload and deadlines effectively.Stay informed about new modelling methods, surfacing techniques, digital tools, and industry trends.Your ProfileDegree in Transportation Design, Digital Modelling, Industrial Design, Computer Graphics, or related field.Strong experience with CAS software such as Autodesk Alias, ICEM Surf, or comparable tools.Excellent understanding of form, surface quality, symmetry, and curvature behaviour.Ability to interpret design sketches and translate them into high-fidelity 3D surfaces.Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with designers and engineers.Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving surfacing challenges.Passion for automotive design and digital craftsmanship.Willingness to work onsite at the OEM\’s advanced design studio in Munich.Technicon is seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientedCAS Modeler (m/f/d)to support the digital modelling team of a leading global automotive OEM in Munich.
