What Makes Us So Special
As a teaching and research-related service facility, the University Library is the central information and communication center of the TU Hamburg. Our Digital Services team ensures that the digital library services always remain modern, reliable and future-proof. Open source and cloud technologies are key to further development, as is cooperation with the TU Hamburg\’s data center.
YOUR TASKS
- Support of the workstation computers, the associated hardware environment and software distribution
- Technical support for library staff
- Optimization and documentation of IT processes for secure library operations
- Innovations and project work for a modern digital library infrastructure
- Further development of digital services in coordination with cooperation partners such as the TUHH computer center
YOUR PROFILE
Employment requirement
- University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in computer science, library informatics or library and information management or a comparable field of study or skills and experience equivalent to a university degree
- Relevant professional experience in the specialist areas of the advertised position
Required Expertise And Personal Skills
- Sound knowledge in the support of Windows systems and hardware
- Expertise in software management, especially MS Office and open source software
- Knowledge of server-based operating systems (e.g. Windows Server, Linux) and relational database systems
- Knowledge of modern network or cloud technologies and information processing standards
- Experience with Linux systems, virtualization or Docker is desirable
