Trading Application Developer / Technical Lead (m/f/d) | Frankfurt
For one of our clients in the financial services sector, we are looking for an high level Developer / Technical Lead to support the modernization of a business-critical trading application.
Project Overview
The client is replacing a legacy trading platform due to security and technology modernization requirements. The application is used in a trading environment where system performance and latency are critical factors. You will work closely with a team of 4 developers and 2 business analysts to drive the transformation and ensure a seamless migration.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and modernize a legacy trading application
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and key stakeholders
- Improve application performance with a focus on low-latency processing
- Support architectural decisions and technical solution design
- Ensure security best practices are incorporated throughout the migration
Required Skills
- Strong software development (Java and/or C++)
- Proven knowledge within Trading, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Electronic Trading environments
- Hands-on knowledge with low-latency and high-performance systems
- Knowledge modernizing or replacing legacy applications
- Solid understanding of software security and secure application design
- Knowledge with messaging technologies and integration patterns
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
Nice to Have
- FIX Protocol
- OMS / EMS
- Market Data systems knowledge
- Kafka, MQ, or similar messaging platforms
- Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
