Description
We are looking for Optical Test Engineers to join a Product Test Engineering team at our Clients Regensburg manufacturing site. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy optical metrology and test solutions for advanced optical modules and integrated display systems used in AR/VR products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative optical measurement technologies from concept into high-volume production.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, design, and develop optical metrology and test systems, including hardware, software, and instrumentation
- Build and qualify bench-top and production-ready test equipment for complex optical modules and integrated systems
- Develop and maintain automated test software for instrument control, data acquisition, and analysis
- Perform statistical analysis of test data and correlate measurement results with product performance metrics
- Lead tester development across the full lifecycle, from requirements definition to production deployment
- Establish and execute alignment, calibration, and validation procedures to ensure measurement accuracy and repeatability
- Collaborate with R&D, optical design, process engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers
- Explore and evaluate new optical metrology technologies and support prototype development
- Support the transfer of test solutions from R&D to mass production
