Legal Counsel EMEAI

Tektronix, part of the Fortive group, is seeking a Legal Counsel for the EMEAI team to join the Tektronix Global Legal Team supporting Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India regions.

We seek a motivated candidate to work in a dynamic environment on diverse assignments. The Legal Counsel EMEAI will advise primarily EA-Elektro-Automatik’s teams in Germany and other regions, covering a broad range of legal topics, and support Tektronix as needed. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating agreements related to sales and distribution of the full portfolio, partnering with functional groups to drive negotiations, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The role also involves advising on legal topics such as compliance, intellectual property, employment, and data privacy.

Role and Responsibilities :

1. Partner with regional teams to enable growth and provide legal advice on laws, regulations, and policies.
2. Negotiate and draft contracts, tender documents, and RFQs across various industries, managing deals from proposal to final negotiation.
3. Advise on contractual risks outside tolerance policies.
4. Improve legal support processes for go-to-market solutions.
5. Assist with pre-litigation and litigation issues, including customer complaints and after-sales services.
6. Consult on legal topics such as competition law and GDPR.
7. Upgrade and harmonize standard documents and terms.
8. Support compliance issues, ethics, and conduct investigations.
9. Participate in global legal teamwork and digitalization initiatives.
10. Communicate with cross-functional teams and provide legal training.
11. Contribute to process improvements and policy implementations.

Minimum Requirements / Job Qualifications :

The candidate should possess:

• A German-qualified lawyer, preferably with a German Bar qualification.
• 3-5 years of relevant practice, including contract negotiation experience.
• Knowledge of business, contract, and public procurement law in Germany and EMEA.
• An interest in technology industry.
