AREA DESCRIPTION
Telefonica Insurance Germany Branch is a non-life insurance company that belongs to Telefonica Seguros y Reaseguros CompañÃa Aseguradora SAU, part of the TELEFONICA group, domiciled in Spain with business being conducted in Spain, UK, LATAM and Germany.
MISSION
The Operations Manager of the branch is responsible for delivering support to the operations of all projects within O2 Germany and also in the external market and its stakeholders TI, O2 Germany and a re-insurer, especially microinsurances. Microinsurances are insurance products of a low price and therefore limited product scope. They usually cover risks which are relevant for the customer and can be sold via a 'one click method'; examples are travel insurances, mobility insurances covering excesses and repairs of rented cars and bikes or cyber insurance for individuals.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and collaborate with the stakeholders being O2 Germany, the reinsurer and TI in regards to operational support across the entire program.
- Collection and analysis of data and performance of the programs: manage the reports to set up a scorecard of control from programs and compliance with SLAs and KPIs of the suppliers (study of trends, alternatives and monitoring of the scope of the objectives set).
- Design of scorecard and analysis of the data to be included in order to control the services of the program.
- Collaborate with the re-insurer and O2 Germany in managing and monitoring the claims management and severity, frequency and complaints.
- Development and production of regular and ad-hoc (at request) management information with regards to the operational performance of the microinsurance program.
- Production of business cases to propose solutions to address and/or improve the performance of the program.
- Proven ability to analyse data and identify trends, and experience of making evidence-based strategic recommendations.
- Management of monthly meetings and follow up on all agreed points.
- Monitor and manage third party suppliers such as Call Centres, claims fulfilling companies and the overall performance and quality of the services provided.
- Identify operational problems and search for and suggest improvements of the processes.
- Work closely with the stakeholders, the General Representative and lawyers in regulatory and other legal questions.
- Manage the documentation and further development of the microinsurances program.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Business degree or similar.
LANGUAGES
German native, English fluent, ideally Spanish.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
MS office skills, Insurance and Processes.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Approximately 4 years in insurance and/or retail insurance/finance. It will be valued to have experience in managing new projects and having prior experience in affiliate products.
