Our Finance team currently consists of two experienced colleagues who don’t just work with numbers — they understand them, and use that understanding to enable well‑founded decisions.

As Business Controller, you’ll become part of our management team and take on a central role at the interface between finance, business, and management.

You’ll shape transparency, drive decisions forward, and actively contribute to the financial steering of our German entity.

This position offers an annual gross salary between €60,000 and €80,000 . Final placement depends on your qualifications, relevant experience, and depth of expertise.

• Your Responsibilities

You are the financial co‑pilot of Televic Rail Gmb H and part of our management team.

You deliver analyses that show where we stand, why we stand there, and what to do next — translating numbers clearly and confidently into recommendations management can act on.

In this role, you report directly to the CFO and to management, and work closely with local and global finance and business stakeholders.

• Bring transparency to monthly closings, reporting, and forecasts for our German entity, translating numbers into clear decision‑making foundations for the business.
• Build out and take ownership of project controlling: keep an eye on project margins, costs, and cash flow, and question developments wherever it matters.
• Turn budgets, variances, and KPIs into concrete actions: drive solutions forward and actively contribute to strategic financial planning — including goal‑setting and a three‑to‑five‑year planning horizon.
• Stay close to the business: through close exchange with project teams, sales, and operations, make numbers tangible, ask the right questions, and drive decisions forward.
• Bring together local and global finance perspectives, ensure transparency in international exchange, and guarantee consistent, reliable reporting.
• Sharpen our controlling processes, tools, and dashboards so insights are available faster and more clearly.
• Establish the targeted use of AI in finance and develop concrete use cases for more efficient analyses, reports, forecasts, and processes.
• Support business cases, investment decisions, and ad‑hoc analyses for management.
• Your Skills
• A relevant completed master’s degree, e. g. in industrial engineering, business administration, finance, or controlling
• At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally from a Big 4 environment such as audit, transaction, or advisory — and ready to take the next step into the business side
• Confident with AI tools and an understanding of how they can make finance processes, analyses, and reporting more efficient
• Solid knowledge of German commercial law (HGB) and confident familiarity with local reporting requirements
• Confident working with Power BI as well as SAP or comparable ERP systems, using them routinely for analysis, reporting, and steering
• Business‑fluent German and English for collaboration in local and international settings
• Strong analytical ability: you don’t need many words to get to the heart of a problem and reach a well‑founded assessment
• Initiative and drive: you take ownership, bring energy to the team, and push things forward without waiting to be asked
• Strong social and communication skills; you connect easily with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
• Follow‑through: you translate numbers into decisions and stay on it until actions take effect
