Security Officer (Casual)

This role is essential in supporting the safety and security of council buildings, staff, residents, and visitors. Successful candidates will provide a visible security presence, respond to incidents, undertake patrols, and assist in maintaining a safe environment across a range of locations. The position offers flexible working arrangements and is ideal for individuals who can work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays when required.,

• Carry out regular patrols of council buildings, car parks, and public spaces.
• Monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and customer enquiries.
• Provide a professional and reassuring presence to staff, residents, and visitors.
• Complete accurate incident reports and maintain relevant records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety procedures, policies, and legislation.
• Liaise effectively with emergency services, council departments, and partner agencies.
