We’re seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer (w/m/d) to join our Engineering team in Berlin.
This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days in the office.

Your mission in a nutshell:
You will design, build and evolve backend and frontend systems that power our digital health platform, contributing across multiple services and domains while taking ownership of features end-to-end.
How you will spend your time:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex applications, ideally in a SaaS environment
- Ensure the quality and performance of the codebase through code reviews and best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.
- Drive the integration of frontend and backend components, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
- Contribute to the architecture and technical initiatives, shaping systems and ways of working.
- Leverage AI tools and develop AI-powered solutions to enhance development efficiency and problem-solving.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Onboard new engineers and promote agile methodologies within the team.
What you should bring to the table:
Frontend:

Minimum 5 years experience building applications with React using TypeScript/JavaScript.

Solid understanding of state management and data flow in complex applications.
-
Experience with API integration and asynchronous data handling.

A focus on maintainable, well-structured, and testable code.
-
Familiarity with testing practices (e.g. E2E or integration testing).
-
Attention to developer experience, code quality, and tooling.
Backend:
-
Minimum 5 years experience with backend development in Java. We also use TypeScript/JavaScript as a part of our tech stack.

Proficiency with frameworks such as Spring Boot or similar backend technologies.

Deep understanding of APIs and client-server communication.

Strong experience with databases (e.g. SQL, relational databases).

Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS or similar) and backend system deployment.

Proficiency with version control (e.g. Git) and advanced development workflows.

In-depth knowledge of CI/CD or DevOps concepts.

Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
General:

A proactive mindset with motivation to lead and innovate as a fullstack engineer.

Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative attitude.

Openness to modern development practices and evolving workflows, including AI-assisted development.

Solid experience with agile methodologies.
Interview process
If your application progresses positively, you will be invited to participate in our hiring process, which includes the following stages:

Initial screening call with a recruiter (up to 45 minutes)

Technical assessment with live coding with the Engineering leaders and Senior Fullstack Engineer (up to 90 minutes)

Team interview with the Engineering Director and another team member (on-site up to 60 minutes)

Please note: our offices close over the Christmas and New Year period for approximately two weeks. We gift the 24th and 31st December as extra vacation days and any additional non-public holiday days during this time will be taken from your annual leave.
