Software Tester (m/f/d)
We are currently looking for an Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d) for a dynamic, future-oriented company in the heart of Erlangen. The Erlangen-based company is a leader in the innovative field of nuclear technology and, as a global energy group with a focus on renewable energies and sustainable development, currently employs 14,000 people worldwide. The position is permanent and full-time.
Your tasks:
- Planning, development, implementation and documentation of software tests, taking into account test plans, technical instructions and international nuclear standards.
- Creation of test specifications according to requirements including test automation.
- Evaluation of software errors and creation of error reports in the ticket system.
- Review of development and test documentation, including code reviews.
- Documentation of the test results in English.
Your profile:
- Completed Bachelor\’s degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience as a software developer or software tester with a focus on C/C++.
- Good knowledge of the Python programming language.
- Advantageous: Knowledge of the coding guidelines (MISRA-C:2012).
- Desirable tool knowledge: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Jira.
- Linux user knowledge is an advantage.
- ISTQB Certified Tester desirable.
- Experience with TXS software components is an advantage.
- Interest in existing hardware is an advantage.
- English language skills at B1 level.
- Fluency in German.
