Technical liaison and support at customers (brake system manufacturer, train operator, and wagon builders). Select & recommend the appropriate pads and blocks for Railway application and lead the development team during the implementation of customer requirements for new products.
Technical support for the sales team, including clarification about which product should be used and production feasibility.
Technical communications with customers worldwide.
Choosing products for tenders based on technical background.
Performance capability check based on customer specifications and our test results, aiming to identify the right product for the customer.
Support customers for vehicle certifications.
Prepare and accompany vehicle tests across Europe.
Support customers onsite by presenting products, discussing projects, and exploring technical opportunities.
Initiate and support our own product certification processes.
Create test scenarios for internal and external dynos as well as for real vehicle tests, combined with result evaluation and feedback to relevant parties.
Support internal customer and quality audits.
Issue solving in case of customer complaints or internal issues.
Support product developments and improvements.
Support internal design and friction material development teams.
Prepare and organize prototype parts for customer and internal projects.
Represent the company and the branch as a specialist in technical committees and working parties across Europe.
Requirements:
Diploma or master’s in mechanical engineering or related subject.
Excellent English and German language skills.
Good knowledge of Office software.
Quick to learn.
Customer-oriented personality with the ability to build relationships.
Strong team player with the ability to support and motivate others.
Able to respond to and meet critical timetables and work under pressure.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Confidence in dealing with colleagues at all levels throughout the Corporation.
