Commissioning Engineer – Prototype Vehicles

Your Tasks: Perform commissioning and integration of vehicle systems at prototype and pre-series stages. Commission prototype vehicles and vehicle electrical/electronic systems. Perform software flashing, coding, parameterization, and configuration of ECUs. Conduct vehicle diagnostics and analyze communication issues. Support integration of new hardware and software releases into prototype vehicles. Execute commissioning activities before functional and validation testing. Analyze and troubleshoot vehicle and ECU issues in collaboration with development teams. Verify correct functionality after software updates and ECU replacements. Document commissioning activities and technical findings. Support test engineers during vehicle preparation and testing campaigns. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure vehicle readiness. Your Profile: Experience in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field. Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a comparable qualification. Experience in commissioning prototype vehicles within the Volkswagen Group environment. Good understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and ECU communication. Experience with automotive diagnostics and vehicle commissioning. Ability to independently analyze and resolve technical issues. Good communication skills and structured working style.
