Job Overview

For our customer, EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany, we are seeking a Data Processing Operations Engineer as part of the Copernicus Program.

Responsibilities

The candidate shall perform system engineering tasks supporting the Copernicus Programme, including:

• Data Processing Operations: managing anomalies, coordinating ground segment modifications, participating in team meetings
• Operational Monitoring and Reporting: developing tools for statistics and KPIs
• Operational Documentation: maintaining and validating operational procedures and documentation
• Interface with external teams and partners
• Evolution of data processing systems and supporting build-up activities

Qualifications & Competencies

Applicants should have a university degree in a relevant discipline and at least three years of experience in satellite data processing systems, with skills in UNIX/Linux, and fluent English.

Additional assets include experience with Earth observation data, programming, scripting, and space segment operations.
