Our Mission

We accelerate renewable energy infrastructure by developing and implementing innovative solutions. Our initial focus is on battery storage, a crucial component for a flexible and environmentally friendly power grid. By providing energy when needed, we help improve grid reliability and efficiency while reducing CO₂ emissions. Equally important is our AI‑based energy trading in the European market, working hand in hand with our battery solutions.

Our Team

The energy trading unit optimises assets across all markets, balances renewables, and engages in proprietary trading. We trade short‑term power algorithmically across a growing geographic scope and have a highly technical team of software engineers, AI experts, and power trading professionals.

Career Opportunity

We are looking to strengthen our team with two additional Quant Trader roles (m/f/d) that will jointly cover the responsibilities listed below. It is fine if you only qualify for part of the scope.

Your Tasks

• Take P&L responsibility
• Work with AI experts to improve and expand deep learning models and bring them to market
• Develop your own price forecasts for different markets
• Further develop our battery optimisation framework
• Develop and implement algorithmic trading strategies – from mid‑term quant strategies to high‑frequency trading
• Work closely with our software and data engineers in product owner roles on a project basis
• Participate in trade ops day shift

• Fluent in English; German is a plus

Qualifications

• University degree in computer or natural sciences, mathematics or economics
• Python, relevant data science libraries, Git and Docker. Experience in R or TypeScript is a plus.
• 3+ years experience in short‑term power markets, preferably Germany; other markets are a strong plus.
• Extensive experience in deep‑learning methods, ML or statistical modelling
• Experience in asset optimisation including ancillary services
• Experience in market microstructures and high‑frequency trading is a plus.
