Specialist – Test Automation (Tosca) in Norderstedt

We are seeking a hands-on Test Automation Specialist with strong expertise in Tricentis Tosca to support automation testing across enterprise applications. The role focuses on designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions to improve quality, accelerate releases, and drive automation-first testing practices. The ideal candidate is a strong automation engineer with proven hands-on experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions using Tricentis Tosca.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.
• Create and maintain reusable automation assets and test suites.
• Analyze requirements, define effective test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, API, and End-to-End testing.
• Identify, document, and validate defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure application quality.
• Contribute to automation framework improvements and CI/CD-driven testing practices.
• Prepare test execution reports and testing documentation.

Required Experience & Expertise

• 4–6 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Automation Testing experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on experience with Tricentis Tosca.
• Strong experience designing, developing, executing, and maintaining Tosca automation assets and automated tests for web-based applications.
• Solid understanding of Tosca concepts including Modules, Test Cases, Test Sheets, Execution Lists, Test Data Management, and Reusable Components.
• Experience creating reusable automation assets and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, API, and End-to-End Testing.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, qTest, JIRA, or equivalent platforms.
• Exposure to CI/CD practices and automated test execution within delivery pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with Selenium automation will be an added advantage.
• API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
• SQL and data validation experience.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• ISTQB or Tricentis Tosca certification.
• Prior experience testing or automating LIMS, SAP, or other enterprise applications will be an added advantage.
