An established international engineering and construction contractor is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of major electrical construction projects in Frankfurt.

Working as part of a project delivery team, you will support the management and coordination of electrical works throughout the project lifecycle. This will include technical submittals, RFIs, design coordination, procurement, subcontractor management, commissioning and project handover.

The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Design teams and Commercial teams to ensure electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, quality and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and become familiar with project specifications, designs and technical requirements.
• Coordinate and manage the submission and approval of technical documentation.
• Raise, manage and maintain RFIs and associated schedules.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Design teams and Quantity Surveyors to support project delivery and progress reporting.
• Ensure the latest approved drawings and technical information are available and being used on site.
• Review and update redline and as-built information for issue to the design team.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure works are completed in line with project requirements.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate actions with relevant project stakeholders.
• Support procurement activities and track long-lead electrical plant and equipment.
• Assist with variations, changes and associated commercial documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and manage external project correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Building Regulations, technical standards, Health & Safety and project procedures.
• Support commissioning, handover and completion activities.
• Coordinate and compile Operation & Maintenance documentation.
• Maintain accurate project and document management records throughout the project lifecycle.

• Electrical construction project delivery.
• Technical submittals and approval processes.
• RFI management.
• Reviewing and coordinating electrical drawings and design information.
• As-built and redline drawing updates.
• Procurement and long-lead equipment tracking.
• Coordinating subcontractors and site activities.
• Supporting variations and project changes.
• Commissioning and project handover.
• O&M manuals and project documentation.
• Building Regulations, technical standards and Health & Safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience within electrical construction, building services or large-scale project environments.
• Strong understanding of project documentation and technical coordination.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
• AutoCAD experience would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and take responsibility across different elements of project delivery.
