A leading building services and engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead and coordinate on-site electrical construction activities across one or multiple projects.
You will ensure electrical installations are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will translate project objectives into site execution plans, manage site-based resources and provide leadership to Site Managers, Supervisors, Foremen and subcontractors.
The role focuses on programme delivery, technical awareness, workforce productivity, safety performance, quality compliance, commercial awareness and successful project handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate electrical construction activities from project commencement through to completion.
- Manage Site Managers, Supervisors, Foremen and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (EHSQ) standards.
- Drive programme delivery through effective planning, resource management and productivity monitoring.
- Coordinate labour, plant, equipment and site logistics.
- Monitor quality, testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks while supporting commercial and operational objectives.
- Provide regular progress updates and communicate key project issues to senior management.
- Promote continuous improvement and best practice across project teams.
Requirements
- Qualified electrical trade background.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in M&E construction and site management.
- Previous experience managing large-scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical or leisure projects.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of project delivery objectives.
