Position Overview
Become part of a multinational team developing the future cross-platform combat system, strengthening European defence cooperation. The MGCS (Main Ground Combat System) is a Franco-German armaments program aiming to replace Leopard 2 and Leclerc tanks with a high-tech ground combat system by 2040. The program aims to bolster European NATO capabilities, enhance Franco-German technological collaboration, and consolidate European land systems industry.
Your Responsibilities
- Drive project success by securing contractual commitments concerning costs, quality, deadlines, and financial forecasts.
- Ensure thorough project structuring, overseeing budgets, organization, and planning.
- Act as the primary liaison to JV partners, fostering strong relationships to ensure success and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate your team with innovative and challenging engagement strategies.
- Coordinate with internal contractors, partners, and subcontractors for effective collaboration.
- Manage risks and opportunities strategically, proactively mitigating risks and leveraging emerging opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Technical background with at least 10 years of experience managing complex projects or programs, preferably in defense.
- Experience in international project management, working across multiple GBUs and partners in complex environments.
- Familiarity with multicultural work settings.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with a track record of meeting project commitments.
- Proven leadership skills, organized, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and developing teams through challenging situations.
