In Kiel and Wilhelmshaven, you will encounter modern and tailored navy systems for ships and submarines, from communication and navigation to reconnaissance, guidance, and action. Your mission
- Leading a technical team in customer and R&D projects
- Planning and coordinating engineering activities from system design to integration and customer acceptance
- Defining applicable processes, practices, and tools (PP&T) for the specific system
- Collaborating with project managers, IVVQ managers, and work package managers across hardware, software, and cybersecurity disciplines
- Defining and planning engineering work packages for proposals and projects regarding performance, cost, and time
- Identifying, evaluating, and managing opportunities and risks
- Reporting to project managers and maintaining an engineering project dashboard
- Providing technical support to subcontractors
- Assisting in resource and deployment planning
- Deriving lessons learned and suggesting improvements for operational organization
We are looking forward to
- A completed university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or equivalent
- Professional experience in systems engineering, software development, hardware development, or system integration and testing
- Leadership experience in a transversal or disciplinary field (advantage)
- Basic knowledge and ideally experience in project management
- Willingness to develop professionally and take on new technical challenges
- Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
