In Kiel and Wilhelmshaven, you will encounter modern and tailored navy systems for ships and submarines, from communication and navigation to reconnaissance, guidance, and action. Your mission

• Leading a technical team in customer and R&D projects
• Planning and coordinating engineering activities from system design to integration and customer acceptance
• Defining applicable processes, practices, and tools (PP&T) for the specific system
• Collaborating with project managers, IVVQ managers, and work package managers across hardware, software, and cybersecurity disciplines
• Defining and planning engineering work packages for proposals and projects regarding performance, cost, and time
• Identifying, evaluating, and managing opportunities and risks
• Reporting to project managers and maintaining an engineering project dashboard
• Providing technical support to subcontractors
• Assisting in resource and deployment planning
• Deriving lessons learned and suggesting improvements for operational organization

We are looking forward to

• A completed university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or equivalent
• Professional experience in systems engineering, software development, hardware development, or system integration and testing
• Leadership experience in a transversal or disciplinary field (advantage)
• Basic knowledge and ideally experience in project management
• Willingness to develop professionally and take on new technical challenges
• Good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
