Overview

In this role, you will lead the German Fund Accounting Operations for Retail and Special Funds, shaping the operating model and delivering client-grade outcomes. You’ll own daily NAV production, IFRS accounting and reporting, and risk controls for a key global client. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on management of complex fund structures, migrations, and regulatory requirements. You’ll partner across functions to drive automation, data quality, and a high-performing culture in line with BNY’s principles.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Lead NAV production, pricing, controls, and client deliverables for German Retail and Special Funds
  • Serve as EMEA Fund Accounting Operations owner for a single client, managing senior stakeholder relationships
  • Provide escalation guidance on complex issues and ensure timely communication
  • Develop and execute the German fund accounting and IFRS strategy, with KPIs and SLAs
  • Oversee end-to-end daily NAV production, price validation, and depositary confirmations
  • Manage Transfer Agency integration and ensure zero-NAV safeguards
  • Oversee German market specifics (swing pricing, gates, notice periods)
  • Lead IFRS accounting processes and data integration; promote automation and data quality
  • Own workforce planning, talent development, budgeting, and management oversight
  • Sponsor continuous improvement initiatives and post-cycle remediation roadmaps
  • Lead onboarding, conversions, and product launches with cutover governance
  • Maintain proactive control framework with daily checks and incident management
  • Oversee post-event reconciliations for mergers, liquidations, and complex changes
  • Foster client-centric collaboration and maintain strong governance across risk/compliance and external auditors

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • 10–15 years total experience with 5–7 years in managerial fund accounting and/or IFRS reporting
  • Deep expertise in German Retail Funds (UCITS/KAGB/KARBV) and Special Funds (InvStG/Chapter 2/3)
  • Strong IFRS knowledge (IFRS 9/7/13) and Pillar II exposure; ability to align IFRS and HGB
  • Fluency in German and English; strong stakeholder engagement with depositaries, auditors, and regulators
  • Hands-on with reconciliation tooling and data interfaces (SFTP/API); familiarity with WM Daten and pricing vendors
  • Proven experience leading migrations/transitions and building high-performing teams in complex environments
  • Experience managing and influencing senior internal stakeholders and direct client management
