Overview
In this role you lead end-to-end German fund tax delivery within the Frankfurt-based German Fund Administration Team. You own tax deliverables for German investment funds (Spezialfonds focus) and coordinate vendor oversight while partnering with product, operations, risk/compliance, legal, and governance on complex tax and regulatory issues. You will shape tax operating models, reporting processes, and controls to meet German market standards, driving accurate tax metrics and client-facing support. This is a chance to influence regulatory compliance, data quality, and process improvements at scale.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Plan and steer tax deliverables per fund/segment with deadlines and quality checks
- Lead significant client-facing interactions with various stakeholders
- Coordinate calculation of tax metrics and reporting, validate against fund accounting (HGB)
- Manage vendor deliverables (year end/interim reporting, Feststellungserklärungen, KESt filings) including change control and issue resolution
- Address complex client inquiries; communicate with custodians/KVG, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Enhance IT support and interfaces for tax/regulatory reporting; ensure data quality, controls, and audit readiness
- Track regulatory/tax changes and assess impacts to update processes and controls
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 7+ years of relevant German tax experience, ideally German CPA (StB/WP) and Big Four background
- Fluency in German and English (spoken and written)
- Deep expertise in Financial Services Tax, Asset Management, German tax law, and German regulatory requirements (InvStG Spezialfonds, daily tax metrics, Feststellungserklärung, KESt filings)
- Knowledge of European Fund Tax Reporting and German regulatory law (AO obligations, § 138 AO)
- Experience with Structured Products and Alternative Investments
- Proven end-to-end client delivery ownership with strong stakeholder management
- Vendor management experience with outsourced tax services (Big Four) and solid SLA/KPI governance
- Strong process & IT affinity (data management, interfaces/portals, CSV/Excel); quality assurance and controls
- Sharp analytical judgment on legislation/regulation changes and impact on fund processes
