Client Information
Our client is a global industrial technology and aerospace manufacturer, who have recently been acquired by a large-cap Private Equity firm. Following its acquisition, the business is undergoing a group-wide strategic transformation to unlock significant operational and commercial value, in partnership with the PE sponsor. As part of this effort, a Value Creation Office (VCO) has been established to drive end-to-end business transformation.
Role Summary
The Global Commercial Excellence Director will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, commercial strategy, and customer-centric initiatives across the organisation. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing commercial excellence strategies to optimise pricing, sales effectiveness, and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a best-in-class commercial excellence framework to enhance sales productivity, pricing optimization, and revenue growth.
- Drive strategic initiatives focused on customer segmentation, salesforce effectiveness, and go-to-market strategies.
- Leverage data analytics and insights to refine pricing models, improve profitability, and enhance market positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and digital, to align commercial objectives with broader business goals.
- Lead change management initiatives to drive a culture of continuous improvement in commercial operations.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Private Equity sponsor.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 7-15 years in a top strategy consulting firm, with a proven track record in commercial excellence and revenue growth strategies.
- Expertise: Strong background in pricing, sales enablement, and market expansion strategies.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, leveraging commercial analytics tools for strategic insights.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organisational change.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in industrial manufacturing, business services, or PE-backed transformations.
- Location: Can be based anywhere in Europe with regular travel across Southern Europe/DACH region
