About You and This Role:
As a Hardware Discipline Engineer (m/f/d) for the mechanical discipline team, you will fill one of several technical resource roles at Stade, Germany. You will provide technical support to plant operating personnel to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Key responsibilities include providing technical expertise in areas such as maintenance and reliability. Responsibilities may range from process improvements, predictive and preventive maintenance, failure analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving, safety enhancements, motor control, cost optimization, project management and implementation, equipment design, and new technology implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized technical support and solutions for maintenance, operations, and project teams.
- Understand and implement Most Effective Technology (MET), work processes, tools, and industry best practices within your discipline.
- Support in design and mechanical engineering according to Dow, German, and European standards and regulations.
- Provide support for maintenance activities on mechanical systems and carry out modifications.
- Support failure analysis and problem-solving processes.
- Ensure reviews are completed on time and that drawings and specifications are followed by fabricators, constructors, and maintenance contractors.
- Maintain close collaboration with manufacturers, contractors, plant personnel, and external suppliers.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. Recent graduate or up to two years of work experience.
- Very good understanding of mechanical and process engineering.
- Excellent technical and work process knowledge.
- Familiarity with failure analysis and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Fluent in German language and very good English language skills.
