Under designated supervision, performs a variety of clerical and manual duties related to receiving and processing merchandise and supplies, to include record keeping, document preparation and selecting storage/shelving locations in the facility or stockroom, as appropriate.
Additional Qualifications/Requirements:
- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK VARIOUS SHIFTS, WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS.
- DRIVERS LICENSE PREFERRED, ABILITY TO OPERATE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION.
- ACTIVELY COMMUNICATES/PROMOTES THE BENEFITS OF THE IN-STORE CREDIT CARD TO CUSTOMERS IN ORDER TO DRIVE SALES GROWTH AND INCREASE CUSTOMER LOYALTY.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: High school or equivalent.
- Experience: Six months progressively responsible general work, plus six months warehousing work or closely related work.
- Must possess the ability, knowledge and skill to operate/use the appropriate systems/software/hardware.
- May be required to possess a valid drivers license.
Major Duties:
- Ensures the proper receipt, verification and documentation of merchandise/supplies.
- Records discrepancies or damaged shipments, initiates appropriate corrective action and completes necessary documentation.
- Signs receiving reports and other accountable documents and processes receipt through appropriate systems using a VDT/PC or other equipment.
- Processes damaged/defective merchandise returned for repair or replacement.
- Maintains records and takes follow-up action, as necessary.
- Completes various merchandising documents and reports, as required, either manually or by appropriate systems using VDT/PC or other equipment.
- Assembles and segregates merchandise for delivery and prepares appropriate documentation.
- Assists in taking stock counts and official inventories.
- Maintains compliance with fire, safety, sanitation and security requirements within stockroom area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
