This position is based at UPPCO’s corporate office in Marquette, Michigan , and offers a hybrid work option for those within a reasonable driving distance of Marquette. The VP of IT will lead the technology, cybersecurity, data, and operational systems that help keep electricity flowing safely and reliably across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. This is a senior leadership role for someone who sees technology as more than systems and software. You’ll help shape how UPPCO uses IT, operational technology (OT), cybersecurity, data, telecommunications, and emerging technologies to strengthen reliability, manage risk, improve efficiency, and support the company’s future. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. WHAT WE OFFER Very competitive salary based on your knowledge and experience. Experience leading teams and working across departments to translate business and operational needs into technology strategy. Utility industry experience or strong knowledge of utility operations, infrastructure, and regulations is especially helpful. Experience with operational technology systems such as EMS, SCADA, or AMI. Familiarity with NERC and FERC regulatory frameworks a bonus. Strong experience planning, overseeing, or steering an ERP system in a regulated environment. Experience developing enterprise AI strategy, governance, policies, or responsible-use practices.
