Our client is a leading organization in hospitality and entertainment, renowned for hosting high-profile events at world-class venues. They are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Venue and Events to lead their team in Germany. This role is perfect for a dynamic leader with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Venue Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of flagship venues, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  2. Event Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic plan for all events hosted at the venue, aligning with the company’s vision and goals. Ensure a diverse and innovative event calendar that attracts high-profile clients and audiences.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of event managers, coordinators, and support staff. Foster a culture of excellence, creativity, and collaboration within the team.
  4. Budget Management: Oversee event budgets, ensuring all events are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining high standards of service and quality.
  5. Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their expectations are exceeded. Build and maintain long-term relationships that result in repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.
  6. Operational Excellence: Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures that ensure the smooth execution of events. Implement best practices in event logistics, safety, and customer service.
  7. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and the venue, ensuring maximum visibility and attendance. Contribute to the development of promotional materials and campaigns.
  8. Innovation and Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations, ensuring our venue and events remain cutting-edge and competitive. Introduce new concepts and technologies to enhance the guest experience.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 7 years in event management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale venues or events.
  2. Skills: Exceptional organizational and project management skills. Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  3. Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and mentoring diverse teams. Ability to make strategic decisions under pressure.
  4. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and team members at all levels.
  5. Financial Acumen: Strong budgeting and financial management skills, with experience in P&L oversight.
  6. Creativity: A flair for innovation and creativity, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.
  7. Education: A bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
